Speaking of commercials, this is a new ad we recently started running featuring Joe for the the Quickswing batting training aid. The Quickswing is a device that Joe's father invented so his kids could take practice swings indoors during Minnesota's long winter months. Here's the commercial:
We've been meaning to post these commercials featuring Joe. The first one is the most popular, with Joe giving his sideburns to a young fan:
The commercial is based, of course, on the classic Coke commercial from 1980 featuring a different Joe, Pittsburgh Steelers defensive tackle, "Mean Joe" Greene:
The Twins have long had great commercials. They list all of their current and previous television ad campaigns at their website (including the one where Mike Redmond grows chia pet sideburns).
